How to fix Quicken Error OL-301-A?

Below steps will fix this issue but first, you need to require to contact your financial institution if they made any changes but if not follow the below steps.

STEP ONE: Delete temporary Internet files (Steps only work for Windows 10/7/8)

  • Press (Windows key +R) from the keyboard or right-click on the Start button and select Run

  • A Run box will pop out and type Control or Control Panel under there

  • Click on Network and Internet then

  • Click Internet Options

  • Internet properties window will open then click Delete… under Browsing history
  • Make a check on Temporary Internet Files and website files

  • Click Delete.

  • Right-click on the Start button and Go to File Explorer

  • Click on This PC and right click on C: drive to select Properties

  • Click Disk Cleanup
  • Only Check Temporary Internet Files and uncheck the rest of them

STEP TWO: Conduct full malware computer scan or run Windows System File Checker ( “sfc /scan now”)

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Run

  • First, hold (Ctrl+Shift) Keys at the same time then press OK

  • On next screen Click Yes
  • The black window will open
  • Type (“sfc /scannow”) and hit ENTER
  • Verification of system files will begin (this process may take some time please be patient)
  • Once scan completed it will show you the status at last or follow on-screen instructions.

Alternative Method to run the command prompt as administrator for Windows System File Checker (“sfc /scannow”)

  • Type CMD or Command into the search tab
  • Move your cursor to Command prompt and right click on it
  • Select run as administrator

  • The black window will open
  • Type (“sfc /scannow”) and hit ENTER
  • Verification of system files will begin (this process may take some time please be patient)
  • Once scan completed it will show you the status at last or follow on-screen instructions.

STEP THREE: Uninstall and Reinstall Quicken for Quicken Error OL-301-A

  • Press Windows+R key from the Keyboard or right-click on the Start button and select Run.

  • Type appwiz.cpl in the search window

  • Program and Features window will open and then look for Quicken
  • Make a single Click on Quicken
  • Click the Uninstall button from Top Menu
  • Now follow on Screen instruction to uninstall the Quicken Software

Once you have successfully uninstalled Quicken, reinstall it back to the computer via CD or directly from Quicken Website. (If you purchased online you’re fully eligible to get to download).

    Helpful article. Facing Quicken error ol-301-a from the past week and now my Quicken seems to be working fine.

    Was assisted by Peter Evans over the phone on this. Had to Deactivate, then Reactivate the account with the OL-301-A error, completing a Quicken Validate of my Quicken accounting data file. After that, no more error.
