Delete Online Payment in Quicken (One Time & Recurring Payments)

In this post, we’ll discuss how to delete online payment in Quicken either it’s a one time or recurring payment.

One Time Payment: It means a payment that you make once in exchange for any goods or services.

Recurring or repeating payment: It simply means an ongoing payment during the specific period of time in exchange of goods and services.

Sometime’s while deleting an online payment, you may face an error code into the software. This happens when your online payment is no more active with the financial institution. You may also need to contact your bank in order to check your payment status with them.

You may face Quicken Error OL-350 or OL-359 while deleting an online payment in Quicken.

Simple steps to delete online payment in Quicken

A. Delete One Time Payment

1.Open Quicken
2. Go to the account register
3. Choose the online payment that you would like to delete
4. Make a right click on it and click Delete
5. Quicken displays any of the below notifications

“This is an online payment that is due on [online payment date]. To delete it choose Edit  > Transaction > Cancel Payment, then send it from the Online Center.”

Hold down the CTRL key and then click OK


Do you want to delete the transaction anyway?

Hold down the CTRL key and then click on Yes

If the above steps won’t work for you

1.Open account register
2. Click on the online payment while holding CTRL+SHIFT  and then click on Delete
3. Keep holding CTRL+SHIFT till responded to all the messages.

B. Recurring or repeating payment

1. Go to Tools > Manage Bill & Income Reminders (CTRL+J)

2. Click on the Repeating Online
3. Select the repeating payment that you want to delete
4. Press and hold the CTRL and click on the Delete at the top of  scheduled transactions
5. Click OK  on the notification screen 

If you’ll be unable to delete a payment, make sure there is no repeating or pending transaction will be there. To check that

Go to Tools > Online Center > Payments. If there would be any transaction you need to wait until it is cleared.
