Quicken Error 1310 or 1303 (When Installing Quicken)

Quicken Error 1310 or 1303 occurs when installing Quicken into the computer either from CD or online download

Quicken is available for individuals and business users and performs all the task according to their needs like reconciliation of accounts, printing checks and much more.

Your software may get crash/freeze while getting Quicken error code 1310 or 1303.

Quick Note: You must be login with full administrator right while installing Quicken in the computer.

3 simple steps to fix Quicken Error 1310 or 1303

STEP ONE: Create new folders in program files for Quicken

  • Click on Quicken Setup or Quicken.exe
  • Click on Let’s go
  • Accept Licence Agreement and click Next
  • Click on Installation Location

  • Click on Change install location…
  • Change the folder name from C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken to C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken1
  • Click on OK.

STEP TWO: Change the Permission

Windows 10 and 8

  • Navigate to File Explorer and right-click on C:\
  • Select Properties
  • Now go for Security tab
  • Select Administrator and allow Full Control if it’s not

  • Now click on SYSTEM under group and usernames
  • Allow Full Control, if it’s not
  • Now click on Advanced, then Change Permissions
  • Make a check to Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object

  • Click Apply and OK

Windows 7

  • Go to windows explorer and right-click on C:\
  • Select Properties and Security tab
  • Select Administrator and check Full Control if it’s not
  • Now click on SYSTEM under group and usernames
  • Check on Full Control, if it’s not
  • Go to Owner tab and click Edit
  • Select Administrators 
  • Make a check on Replace owner on sub containers and objects
  • Click Apply and OK
  • Again right click on C:\
  • Select Properties
  • Under ProgramData Properties,  select Security Tab and click Advanced
  • Click on Permissions and click Edit
  • Make sure SYSTEM and Administrators permission are Full Control
  • If they aren’t in Full control, click on Edit to make them Full Control
  • Select Replace all existing inheritable permissions on all descendants with inheritable permissions from this object
  • Click Apply and OK

STEP THREE: Correct Permission from Command Prompt

Windows 7

  • Press Windows Key +R from the keyboard
  • Type CMD in the Run window

  • Click OK
  • In the Command Prompt window, type the following code which is given below and press Enter

icacls “c:\ProgramData” /T /C /grant administrators:F
