QuickBooks Error 15241 occurs when QuickBooks Payroll update was unsuccessful. Error 15241 usually encounters when QuickBooks Desktop File Copy Service(FCS) is disabled.

3 Simple Steps to Fix QuickBooks Error 15241

Step 1: Enable QuickBooks Desktop File Copy Service(FCS)

  • Press Windows+R keys together from keyboard to open Run window
  • Type COMPMGMT.MSC into the Run command and click OK
  • Now Computer Management Window will open then click on Services and Applications
  • Then click on Services
  • Now scroll the cursor down, until you found Intuit QuickBooks FCS
  • Then make a double click on Intuit QuickBooks FCS
  • Click on Startup type and choose Manual
  • Then click Apply and OK
  • Now reopen QuickBooks Desktop

Step 2: Download the QuickBooks Desktop Update

Automatically

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop
  2. Now go to Help > Update QuickBooks Desktop…
  3. Then click on the Update Now tab to the top

  5. Once completed, click on OK

From the Internet

To download the QuickBooks latest update manually do the following:

  1. Open the QuickBooks Download & Update page
  2. Then select your Country, Product and at last Version
  3. Then click on Search
  4. On the next page click on Get the latest updates. (Under the Downloaded Button)

If you’ve QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Subscription, download the latest QuickBooks Payroll Tax table so you can process payroll without any hurdles.

To download the latest payroll update:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop
  2. Go to Employee > Get Payroll Updates
  3. Make a check on the Download Entire Update
  4. Then select Download Latest Update
  5. A Window will appear once it’s updated successfully.
