How to fix Quicken Error CC-800

Whenever we talk about personal financial management tool “Quicken” is one of the top priority for the users. It makes our life extremely simpler with its services like Bill pay, One step update etc. Sometimes users have to face issues because of many reasons today we’re going to discuss Quicken Error CC-800.

Causes for Quicken Error CC-800

  • Quicken isn’t running with the latest release
  • Quicken file damaged
  • Accounts credential got changed
  • Improper Quicken software installation

How to Fix Quicken Error CC-800

There are many possibilities to fix Quicken Error CC-800 but today we’ll fix this issue in just 5 simple steps.

STEP ONE: Ensure that Quicken is running with the latest release

  • Open Quicken
  • Go to Help > Check for Updates in newer version
  • If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download it and if Quicken is already running with the latest release proceed with STEP TWO.

Note: You may also face Quicken Error CC-501 when updating accounts.

STEP TWO: Refresh your online account information

  • Open Quicken register
  • Go to the account that has this error from account bar
  • Click on the top right-hand side gear icon and select Update Now (Ctrl+Alt+U)
  • Put the password for your respective financial institution
  • Click Update Now
  • Do the same for each account that has Quicken Error CC-800

Note: You may also face Quicken Error OL-301-A

STEP THREE: Deactivate the account which causing Quicken Error CC-800

  • Open Quicken
  • Go to Tools > Account List > Click on Edit ( only to that account which has this error)

  • Click on Online Services
  • Click Deactivate

  • Hit Yes to confirm
  • Click OK and Done.
  • Now follow STEP FOUR

STEP FOUR: Verify Quicken Files

  • Open Quicken
  • Go to File > File Operations > Validate and Repair…

  • Make a Check just on Validate File
  • Click OK

  • Quicken will validate the file (It may take some time depending on your file size)
  • Once Validation has completed, check DATA_LOG if any error under there

Note: If you found any error under the DATA_LOG. Immediatley contact Quicken Technical Support.

Once you have done with STEP FOUR follow STEP FIVE to reactivate the account.

STEP FIVE: Reactivate the Account

  • Go to Tools > Accounts
  • Click Edit to the same account
  • Click Online Services
  • Hit Set up Now…

  • Type your financial institution User ID & Password
  • Make a check on Save this password (It may ask to put the Vault password or Quicken ID/ Password) 

    As Quicken is no more part of Intuit it’s neccessary to create Quicken ID for every user.

  • Click Connect
  • Make sure your account should be Link

  • Click Next and Finish
